Global Brand Director


A unique opportunity has been created to join this progressive and values led business as Global Brand Director. The Global Brand Director will report directly into the CEO and be responsible for the strategic planning for The Botanist brand, the delivery of business expectations and the development of the team. You will play a key role in the Executive Committee, working with the team to deliver the overall vision and mission across the business, also ensuring synergy and alignment across the portfolio. The Botanist is the first and only Islay Dry Gin, launched in 2010 and is now distributed and sold to over 65 countries globally, and sits within the super-premium gin category. The Global Brand Director will develop and implement the long-term and annual brand strategy, developing an in-depth knowledge of the global competitive landscape, to drive strategic insights. Developing a motivated and high performing team to deliver the brand strategy is key, as well as developing capabilities in line with personal development plans.

For this role, we’re looking for candidates who are values led and motivated to be part of a purpose led brand business. The Bruichladdich Distillery is on a unique path, and this is a fantastic opportunity to leave a role where you perhaps feel stifled and want to be part of a bigger mission and purpose that will have a positive impact on wider society. CRM Manager

Are you an experienced CRM and Data Manager with a passion for growing global communities? Are you fed up with your daily commute and fancy living in stunning Islay? This is a new opportunity not to be missed.

We are working with a globally recognised Distillery on Islay to recruit an experienced CRM Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing a brand-new CRM dedicated to their Gin brand.

To date, the brand has been developed through core influencers and trade channels but will now focus on a more consumer-focused communications strategy and as such, require an experienced CRM Manager to take the lead. They are in the development stage of this project, so initially, you'll be involved in specification and design – helping to create the CRM Strategy. It will then be your responsibility to manage CRM on an ongoing basis - involving close liaison with various departments across the business (design, content management and global market teams). The vision for CRM is that it encompasses every digital and physical touchpoint with their customers, globally. So, not just a mailing list!


  • Develop and manage a global CRM strategy for the premium Gin brand
  • Proactively grow a digital global community for the Gin brand
  • Work in liaison with digital and content creation team members (and external agencies), and global markets, to develop a world-leading content delivery system, with powerful back-end functionality and reporting
  • Develop and evolve typical customer profiles based on research and analytics
  • Deliver relevant and inspiring content to customers based on their profile, preferences, global location and purchase behaviour
  • Whilst you will be supported by other specialist content creators in the team, you will also be expected to originate some written content
  • Manage analytics, reporting and make recommendations to feed into our content and design decisions
  • Champion the CRM solution and educate colleagues on how to get the most out of the platform

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in CRM strategy and development
  • Salesforce experience would be welcomed although not mandatory
  • A passion for communication and relationship building - backed up with analytical skills for data management and reporting
  • Strong background in customer acquisition and retention strategies

Are you mad about Typography? A dab hand at Photoshop and InDesign? If so, we’d love to speak with you.

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Artworker to join the design team at a globally recognised Distillery on Islay. Working closely with the Head of Design, you will create all packaging artwork and labels for the distillery’s range of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create all packaging artwork for a wide range of products – tins, screen-print for bottles, labels, shipping cases – including multiple versions for global markets, ensuring compliance with local mandatory and legal requirements.
  • Manage the artwork approval process through the legal department and brand team.
  • Ensure consistent application of the distillery’s brands.
  • Produce labels for private cask owners, including liaison with cask owners during the approval process and printing, completed labels in-house.
  • Create miscellaneous ad hoc labels as required for single casks and special bottlings.
  • Support other departments across the distillery such as the communications department, retail, hospitality, etc. creating various literature, adverts, packaging, presentations, signage and event graphics.
  • Support other members of the Product Development Team as required, including picking up overflow work from the Communications Designer.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • High-level technical artwork ability using Adobe Creative Cloud on Apple Mac
  • First-rate illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat skills essential: Photoshop retouching skills an advantage; Powerpoint experience an advantage.
  • High level of attention to detail, especially with regards to critical legal and mandatory requirements.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • High level of organisational skills; able to track and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; disciplined file naming and filing conventions
  • Experience of project management software such as or Trello an advantage
  • Good communication and liaison skills across internal departments and external suppliers
