Denholm has partnered with this award-winning independent premium branded spirits business, to find two new exciting sales roles to be based in Edinburgh.
Led by Andrew, Carlo and Graham, Boe Gin has a focus on unique, captivating flavours and colours. Their UK-wide customers include Greene King, Ei Group, Matthew Clark, Booker, LWC, Carlsberg, Marstons, Morrisons, Asda, Tesco and Co-Op.
In 2016, the business led the UK flavoured and coloured gin revolution with its flagship brand, Boe Violet Gin.
This started a rapid growth journey which has seen an increasing product portfolio, particularly appreciated by young, trend-aware women. Business turnover has increased at an impressive rate from £1.1m to £7.5m with the vast majority of this growth coming from within the On-trade and wholesale channels. Boe is the UK-leader in engagement through social media – an incredible accomplishment for an independent Scottish brand. Innovative marketing campaigns – including a partnership with Paloma Faith – have helped take the message to the market, engaging with new and existing consumers.
For Boe Gin, 2020 is set to be an exciting growth phase – both in terms of personnel, turnover, new business acquisitions and NPD all supported by significant marketing investment, possibly supplemented by a new Trade Marketing hire. To drive future sales and increase market share across the Off-trade and internationally, whilst supporting the brand’s premium positioning, the business needs to hire two talented sales professionals to drive great opportunity in these channels.
As part of this expansion, Boe Gin is hiring a Head of Off-trade to be based in central Scotland. This role has overall responsibility for all UK retail and convenience business.
To be considered for the role, you will have a proven track record in premium FMCG across Top 4 Grocery and Convenience. You will have evidence of identifying, winning and managing retail customers at a national level. Ideally from a SME food and drink environment/ the drink sector, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for leading a success story.
Boe Gin are looking to expand their export business and as such require an experienced International Sales Manager to drive sales globally. Reporting to the board, the International Sales Manager will have full P&L responsibility for all export sales. He or she will plan, manage and execute the international growth strategy; identifying appropriate distribution partners, leading commercial negotiations and delivering successful JBP’s.
