Scottish SPCA

We are Scotland’s animal welfare charity. We have been helping animals in need for over 175 years and we are proud of the work we do rescuing, rehoming, rehabilitating and releasing animals across Scotland.

What we do...

  • Champion animal welfare across Scotland
  • Rescue animals in danger
  • Find animals loving new homes or release them back into the wild
  • Investigate and help prosecute those who are cruel to animals
  • Educate the public on the importance of animal welfare

OUR VISION

This is an exciting time to join our expert team as we begin to build on our success and take steps towards achieving our recently developed Three Year Strategy. Be part of a team working to champion animal welfare and wellbeing across Scotland, educating and raising awareness, while raising vital funds to continue our life-saving work.

Why work for us?

The Scottish SPCA has the highest and most positive profile of any animal charity in the UK. Working for us is incredibly rewarding and you’ll also get the chance to get up close and personal with some of our furry, feathered and scaled friends!
You’ll receive a comprehensive and wide-ranging induction to show you the breadth of our vital work.

"You'll be visiting our animal rescue and rehoming centres and gaining first-hand experience with our animal helpline team who receive over 230,000 calls each year."
"You'll spend a day on the road with an animal rescue officer and inspector and meet our crucial undercover Special Investigations Unit to learn about their investigations into serious organised crimes."
"You'll visit our National Wildlife Rescue Centre and learn about our headline hitting research and our Prevention through Education programme which reaches over 270,000 primary school children every year."
